Session of the Month - February 2023

One thing I would love to start instituting is a “session of the month” post. I figure this is a great way to highlight my awesome clients and their amazing photos! It will also keep a nice variety of session types available to show off.

Who better to start off this tradition than the Gerdes family?!

I met Sarah and Codi in the fall of 2015 (OMG I literally had to dig because I didn’t realize it was THAT LONG ago!) for their engagement session. They absolutely knocked it out of the park because… let’s face it… they’re adorable. (CLICK HERE for a blast from the past, before I was even Chelsea May Photography)

In the years since, I’ve had the privilege to document many of their life milestones, particularly those celebrating the arrival and growth of their little ones! This is why February’s session of the month is Brynlee’s birthday session.

Hard to believe that their daughter is now ONE. When talking to Sarah about what kind of theme she wanted for the smash cake session, she wasn’t super set on anything. There was an idea I had been wanting to try for awhile and I knew miss Brynlee would be the PERFECT model to make my vision come to life. She was very open-minded to give it a try!

I had found (and subsequently bought… obviously) an adorable backdrop that gave MAJOR Tiffany’s vibes. I had to go on quite the hunt for the perfect blue gift bags and wrapping paper, but oh man it was so worth it! And of course, we just had to throw in a few family pics and shots with big brother too.

I just adore this family and am so grateful for their continued support of my business!
