Mr. and Mrs. Kersten - 6.17.23 — Chelsea May Photography

Rachael and Kenny tied the knot on Saturday and it was magical. Exhibit A of said magic:

The image above has got to be one of my top 10 I’ve ever taken at a wedding. (insert heart eye emoji here)

There were some very original details that fit in seamlessly with their day including blue stones for her wedding band and this beautiful prayer book from Rachael’s grandmother. Not only did her grandmother receive the book on HER wedding day, but she also read the passage blessing them as a couple as part of the ceremony.

Speaking of the ceremony…

We all know I am an absolute sucker for an emotional groom, but there were seriously zero dry eyes as Rachael walked down the aisle to her groom, including Rachael herself and her parents.

Can we just take a moment to drool over this amazing dress?! I have been such a lucky photographer this season with some amazing dresses including two stunning trains in my past two weddings.

Rachael and Kenny have been together for roughly a decade now, so needless to say, everyone was definitely in the “it’s about dang time!” mindset. With roughly 100 guests as witness and a wonderful bridal party by their sides, they both said “I do” at a gorgeous outdoor venue.

But for real though. These two simply glowed at one another all day. It was a pleasure photographing such a gorgeous wedding with such an awesome couple! Wishing you both many more happy decades together!
