Mr. and Mrs. Hederer - 10.12.24

These beautiful nuptials were a perfect conclusion to my 2024 wedding season. Meet the new Mr. and Mrs. Hederer! I actually teach with Julia’s mom, so I was delighted when I heard she was engaged and wanted me to photograph her wedding.

These two met in the summer of 2023 and have been inseparable ever since. When reflecting on the early days of their relationship, Julia noted that there wasn’t a specific moment that she knew Nathan was her future husband… for her, every conversation and activity they did together just solidified what she knew so quickly. Her favorite thing about him is his heart. She loves how he clearly puts her first and what a great listener he is.

From Nathan’s perspective, he loves all of the time they spend together and the adventures they share. He remembers realizing she was “the one” when he was constantly “counting down the minutes from Monday to Friday every week just waiting to see her beautiful smile and get to spend every second of the weekend with her”.

Their celebration took place at an adorable bed and breakfast in the Weyauwega area called Willow Ponds. The name suits the property well - there’s a beautiful pond with willow trees around it. They were even lucky enough to have an outdoor ceremony near the pond and trees. The weather decided it was time to start sprinkling right after the ceremony, but that thankfully cleared up rather quickly.

After some fun family, bridal party, and couple’s photos, we headed into the barn for dinner and the reception. We were treated to some fantastic speeches from the best man, maid of honor, and father of the bride. They were the perfect balance of funny and heartfelt. Let’s also spot the funny addition to the tie of the father of the bride. What a cute throwback photo of the two of them!

There was the usual spotlight dances of the couple, father/daughter, and mother/son, however we also got to watch a mother-daughter dance performance by Julia and her mom. It was super neat to watch!

After the spotlight dances, the floor was packed until it was time for me to leave. Not going to lie, it was tempting to stick around and dance the night away with the amazing crowd!

Many thanks to Julia and Nathan for having me document their special day. Wishing you many blissful decades together!
